We are Western New York’s premier vertical growers of microgreens & edible flowers and makers of localized artisan pizzas

Our History

We started our family run business in 2016 after being inspired by the local food movement.  That year we had only 1 rack with 3 lights set up in our dining room and sold at one farmer’s market. 

Fast-forward to today and we have literally grown and expanded our operations significantly. 

Now we operate in a 1500-square foot facility with all state-of-the-art grow lights. We provide microgreens and edible flowers to more than 50 restaurants, chefs and caterers each week plus we supply a major local wholesaler. We attend farmer’s markets year-round selling our greens as well as our freshly-made artisan pizzas using locally-sourced ingredients.

Up next is development of our operations on 24-acres of land we purchased in East Amherst!

Our Methods

Rooted Locally grows year-round utilizing vertical farming in a controlled space using only organic soil and all non-GMO seeds. Chemicals are never used on any of our products.

We offer our customers a locally-sourced, highly nutritious product that is chemical-free, non-GMO and ultra-fresh at an affordable price.

Our extensive microgreens product line covers almost all flavor profiles ranging from sweet to earthy to spicy. And our edible flowers add beauty to any dish.

Rooted Locally’s Artisan Pizzas

We make artisan pizzas every Saturday from May-October at the Elmwood Village Farmers Market. We use local ingredients and make each pizza to order. You’ll also find us at Pop-Up Events throughout the year.  Check out our Find Us page for when and where we will be cooking pizzas next!
